Do you love animals? Have you always wanted to be part of a community that cares about the greater good of animal welfare? Have you always wanted to volunteer or help a cause you believed in? Well here is your opportunity to help save lives everyday…..how many people can say they do that?!

Volunteering is one of the most satisfying experiences that almost anyone can do and it is a great way to help your community with a positive change of greater good for some many dogs!

Come join us in the world of animal rescue and we will show you one of the most satisfying ways to help both animals and people!

We are looking for volunteers from all walks of life to help us with the many little tasks that it takes to run a successful humane society.

We are a foster to adopt organization and do not have a shelter at this time. We need volunteers to help with the following:

  • Fostering a dog
  • Drivers  (both local and long distance)
  • Coordination of doggie deliveries
  • Marketing and Public Relations
  • Helping with Fund Raising
  • Helping with Special Events
  • Helping with our Newsletter
  • Helping with our Adoption Events in the Los Angeles area
  • Placing ads for our dogs
  • Visiting shelters to evaluate dogs

Whether you only have a few hours, or a week a month, we have all different levels of volunteer positions you could be right for! You can even work right from your home! Not even a car is needed, just a phone or internet connection and an enthusiasm for helping dogs! If you have suggestions for other levels of volunteer in which you might be of service, please let us know! We would be so happy to hear about your ideas and special skills!

If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out an application and fax it to us at (866) 430-7928 or email it to us at volunteers@cutiesforcanines.org. The next step is to come to a volunteer orientation meeting and you'll be ready to start. Thank you for your interest in helping CFC!

For the date of our next Volunteer Orientation our volunteer coordinator will get in touch with you within 5 days after receiving your application. If you do not receive anything after 5 days, please send an inquiry to volunteers@cutiesforcanines.org.

Volunteers

The volunteer orientation meeting is mandatory. Whether you are volunteering or fostering, you must attend one before you can begin.

Teen Volunteers (Ages 13-17)

Volunteers If you are looking for a unique and rewarding volunteer experience, Cuties for Canines, has a number of ways in which you can help homeless, red listed shelter dogs. We are a volunteer-based, all breed, dog rescue nonprofit organization. We take in dogs that are on doggie death row and provide temporary housing while we post their pictures on our Web site www.cutiesforcanines.org  and recruit new homes for them.

Volunteering is a great credit to place on college applications and at some schools, its even mandatory. Being a volunteer with a non profit organization, shows universities and schools that you have what it takes to be a diligent hard worker and moreover, a leader who cares about your community and who can help make a difference.

Young adults, 13 years or older, may volunteer as long as they have parental permission. Volunteer opportunities include assisting with our Meet and Greet events, in Los Angeles areas on weekends for a two to three hour period, as well as helping with fundraisers and other projects that help promote our mission. We also have CFC street teams, where you can go to local Vets, dog parks and area businesses to place our brochures, red listed animals and information about our charity. You can also help us raise funds by visiting local businesses in your area and telling them about the charity.

Whatever your interest, your help is invaluable to our mission. The first few times you volunteer, you will need a parent present, until you are approved to volunteer alone.
