-$ 35 – The cost of rescuing a dog
-$ 45 - The cost of a full tank of gas for a delivery
-$ 75 - The cost of a standard vet check up
-$ 100 – The cost of antibiotics to treat a mild condition
-$ 250 - The average cost of medical bills for a sick dog
(Remember to specify a shipping address with your donation if you would like a tax receipt. Federal tax law requires us to provide tax receipts for donations of $250 or more. For donations of less than $250 you may use your cancelled check, or a print-out of the online payment receipt page).

Here is an idea of how your contributions can help to save one of our rescued dogs:
Medical bills
The Vast majority of our dogs have already been spayed or neutered at the shelter, but sometimes, for various reasons the shelter will not spay of neuter the dog. In these instances we must take them ourselves to a private veterinary clinic and pay for the cost. In addition, after some of these animals
have spent long periods of time in a shelter, they can develop kennel cough, mange, or skin conditions. These are all easily treated and often times, treated fast with just an ointment or an antibiotics series. These conditions and many more are all things that the shelter won’t treat but we will and with your help we can give many dogs a new chance at a
healthy, happy lives!!!
Recently, all most all of the dogs that we rescued from a certain shelter had kennel cough. We knew first hand how medical bills could mount for our four legged friends. All animals were given the medicine they needed and these once overlooked dogs are all now happy and healthy in their new homes!
Drivers
CFC offers a service where we can drive the animal to their new loving homes. We do this for 2 reasons; first, to see the new home in person so we can make sure it will be a good home for our dogs. Second, to cast the net of perspective parents wider so that we may appeal to people outside of our general
area to adopt. In addition, sometimes we have new adoptive parents who don’t drive. By bringing the dogs to their new home ourselves, we make the adoption process, smooth easy and simplified. We take that scary visit to the awful shelters out of the equation and concentrate on uniting happy new parents with loving new friends.
With mounting gas prices, your donations help us cover the cost of gas for our volunteer drivers so we can concentrate on finding these wonderful dogs loving new lives!
Food
Many times, we rescue these loving dogs that are malnourished after spending long periods of time at shelters. Sadly, some of them even develop a habit of starving themselves because they are so unhappy. Couple that with poor practices at some of the shelters and you have a very unhealthy dog. CFC
evaluates each dog to determine what each dog needs to be fed and we send either foster or adoptive parents home with the essentials they need to get there dogs weight back on track. Help feed a dog today!!
